Shavian has a problem with keyboards. the current supply is very low, and it is fairly difficult to fabricate an entirely new keyboard from scratch. i hope to fix this sad reality through the power of friendship, cool images, and my free time!
oh yeah, and a NEW KEYBOARD for android through Multikey based on u/Ruais's 12 key keyboard!
my personal orthography includes a diamond operator to indicate special circumstances such as a nonstandard shortening, additional CJK quote brackets, and most importantly, a brand new optimized-but-familiar layout compared to the previous iteration!
the above is said Multikey keyboard with a modified shavian layout that i use for inputting shavian on mobile. find out the overall basics here (archived) or in the downloads page.
there are several changes compared to u/Ruais's keyboard, most of them subtle and mnemonic in nature.
i have updated the positions of some characters to be more symmetrical
i've tried to incorperate as many small mnemonic features as i can keep track of! one of them is how 𐑶 and 𐑹 are on the same side of the keyboard because they both use the ɔ sound, and it reflects the similarity between 𐑬's /aʊ/ and 𐑸's /ɑː(r)/ on the other side! several changes like that have been made in an attempt to speed up the use of the keyboard.

i made several versions of the above keyboard to be used in Linux, probably only for x11 (i'm not sure because i've never laid a finger on wayland lol) which can also be found in the downloads page where it should be renamed from shaw.txt to shaw and stored as /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/shaw
